Master's degree in art history, "Sciences of Antiquity" course
This course brings together four disciplines - art history and archaeology, history, classics and philosophy - around the theme of Antiquity.
It enables art history students to discover the tools and working methods of the other disciplines, or to perfect their knowledge in these fields.
This course offers :
A foundation in general culture, while offering specific research in art history or archaeology.
Methodological seminars in each discipline, based on current research.
An ancient language course (Latin or Greek, your choice) with a beginners' level, taught by the ancient languages department.
Scientific meetings with colleagues from other universities and institutions.
The possibility of choosing a course in Latin and Greek epigraphy or a history course with a variety of themes.
Joint seminars with other Master's courses in art history are offered.
Students enrolled in this pathway are supervised for their two research dissertations (one in M1 and one in M2) by one of the research professors involved in the pathway, with whom they must have agreed a research topic beforehand.
