Presentation of UFR ARSH

Between passing on our heritage and opening up to the contemporary world, the UFR Arts et Sciences Humaines encourages interdisciplinarity, at the crossroads of many different and complementary specialties: history, art history, archaeology, philosophy, music and social geography.
The UFR Arts et Sciences Humaines is part of theUniversité Grenoble Alpes, offering a wide range of courses: 5 general bachelor's degrees, 6 double bachelor's degrees, 3 master's degrees, 3 doctorates and preparation for the competitive teaching exams.
Some 63 teacher-researchers, mainly affiliated with one of the UFR's three research centers, bring their teaching to life through their commitment to recognized intellectual and scientific production.

Training

Five bachelor's degrees (history, art history and archaeology, musicology, philosophy and applied human sciences, a multi-disciplinary bachelor's degree unique in France), three master's degrees (history, art history and philosophy) offering around ten specialization paths, three doctoral degrees, with the possibility of double degrees (in history and classics, in art history and archaeology/modern or classical literature, in philosophy/modern or classical literature and in physics/musicology) and also two paths with Grenoble École de management, in history and philosophy.

The UFR ARSH also offers a Master's-level university diploma in philosophy (Philopolis), as well as preparation for secondary and higher education entrance examinations in history-geography, music education and choral singing, and philosophy.
Supported in deepening their knowledge and methods, particularly in the field of documentation, and in continuing to learn foreign languages and new technologies, students can build their personal training and professional integration project within the framework of a medium-sized structure.
