NB the electronic version of the brief must be consistent with the paper version
The entire brief must fit into a single file Volume 2 of the dissertation, which will include appendices (if justified) or present a catalog, is the only file that can be used as a second file. Other files may be, for example, audio or video files, or slide presentations (such as Power Point or LibreOffice Impress).
Check that all the required information appears on thehe cover and title page of the memoir (which must be identical. However, an illustration may adorn the cover page).
To make it easier for you to present and enter your dissertation, documents on bibliographic standards, logos and a dissertation template (which you can adapt to your own needs) are available on MEMARSH. Books on typographical and bibliographical standards are also available from the library. However, please refer first and foremost to your thesis supervisor's instructions.
The day of the defense
At the end of the defense, your jury completes and signs minutes of the examination and sends it to the Master's department. It includes a notice concerning the publication of your dissertation in full text on the DUMAS.
Complete and sign the dissertation distribution form and send it to your UFR's IST department. It has been sent to you by your Master's department before your defense. It can also be downloaded from the pedagogical website MEMARSH.
After the defense
The dissertation is stored on the university server. A copy can be issued to the author on request, if he or she has "lost" his or her work, for example, hence the interest in archiving a text file (.doc, .docx, .odt, .rtf) rather than its image (.pdf).
Depending on the authorizations grantedthe brief can be posted on the DUMAS. Access to the full text may be immediate or deferred (in the event of continuation of the subject into a thesis, for example). The jury may ask for corrections to be made to the dissertation for publication.
Institutional archiving of the memoir enables :
ensure their long-term preservation
participate in the creation of a digital library of works supported by the company
NB To deposit is not to distribute, to preserve is not to publish.
