Master's degree in philosophy, specializing in "Philosophy of Cognition"

The " Philosophy of Cognition" program is integrated into Grenoble's fabric of research devoted to cognition.
It demonstrates the contribution of philosophy to cognitive science, which has been one of the most active fields of research in recent decades. Training seminars and research seminars support the two-year preparation of an original personal thesis demonstrating the skills acquired.
In addition to training seminars on cognition and other general philosophical issues, there are research seminars on the laboratory's " Mind and Cognition " theme, which regularly welcome external researchers.

This program is also part of the Grenoble-based TransCoG thematic program (within the framework of the Graduate School@uga), which students can enroll in. It offers students the opportunity to learn about the various disciplines that study cognition while acquiring a solid philosophical grounding in this field.

Prepared over two years, the Master's thesis benefits from training seminars led by teacher-researchers and research seminars in each of the laboratory's areas of focus, which welcome external researchers.
An internship inthe second year prepares students for professional integration and/or provides a field of application for their doctoral studies.
Preparation for secondary school teaching exams in philosophy is offered as an option during the program.
We recommendconsulting the current year'sstudy booklet, which provides an overview of the seminars offered and the organization of the program. We also strongly advise consulting the areas of specialization of the faculty members to ensure that your research project will find a suitable advisor.
