History of art and archaeology / Modern literature double bachelor's degree

Presentation

This double degree gives students a solid grounding in art history and archaeology and in modern literature:
  • Art History studies plastic works produced (but also conceptual) throughout history: architecture, sculpture, painting, photography, installations, performances, decorative arts, ornaments and clothing.
  • Archaeology is the study, in context, of man-made remains and traces of human existence, in the hope of gaining a better understanding of the human past (from prehistory to the present day).
  • Lettres modernes provides a solid grounding in French literature and language (examples: literary genres, overview of the French language, learning to read literature, texts and contexts from the Middle Ages to the present day), ancient languages and literature (study of Greek and Latin languages and civilizations) and an introduction to comparative literature.

Organization

The timetable is arranged to enable the student to follow all the fundamental courses of the 2 bachelor's degrees and thus obtain 2 diplomas at the end of the 3 validated years.
After completing the first, second or fourth semester, you can switch to either of the single-discipline bachelor's degrees.

See the information sheet for the History of Art and Archaeology/Modern Literature double degree.
