The status of "auditeur libre" is available to anyone wishing to take courses at the university, without having to have a degree or diploma.
Auditors enrolled in the Arts and Human Sciences department (ARSH) are authorized to take courses in any of the 5 departments (History, Art History, Philosophy, Musicology, Applied Human Sciences), with no obligation to attend classes.
Auditors may only attend lectures ( subject to availability) and with the agreement of the teacher in charge of the course.
Registration as an auditor entitles you to certain university library services, such as book loans.
The registration fee, corresponding to the national Bachelor's rate(€178 for the 25/26 academic year), is not subject to the CVEC (Contribution Vie Étudiante et de Campus).
Points of attention
Auditors do not have student status.
He/she is not eligible for CROUS scholarships and other student benefits (housing, student social security, etc.);
It does not take exams, nor is it eligible for graded work.
